1) The first question people ask? How much will it cost? Please tell other guests whether you felt that the property was a good value at the
price. Did the pricing compare favorably with other properties?
-Our family vacation/reunion was wonderful because of this property. We rented the entire property, the beach
cottage, the courtyard apartment and the two studios for our family. It was the very best 'deal' in the area. I had
compared various properties over a two-month period and this by far exceeded my expectations. It was definately a
good value and priced right and gave us all a place to get away or be together due to the set up of the property.
2) The second concern people have is whether the home is clean and in good repair. Did you find it so? Would you say it was better than or
not as good as vacation rentals you have booked in the past?
-This property was in great condition. In fact, we felt as though we were 'home' for the entire week.
3) And there is always concern for safety and security – Did you find the neighborhood safe and attractive? Was the neighborhood and the
beach family friendly?
-Oceanside has become one of my favorite beach locations. We felt safe in the area and experienced good
conversations with the neighbors. The patio is safeguarded with a locking gate which allowed us to feel comfortable
with our small children out playing on the patio. They loved it. The beach was clean and inviting. We spent many
evenings roasting marshmellows and making s'mores.
4) What about the location? Did you like the proximity to the pier and harbor? Did you like being close to downtown Oceanside ? What about
the greater region? Did you find it convenient to be centrally located between the LA/Hollywood/Disney area, and the San Diego area with its
harbors, Sea World, Zoo and Balboa Park museums?
-One of our family's favorite destinations for dinner is Ruby's on the Pier. It was a short walk to Ruby's and so many
entertaining venues in Oceanside. We were able to skip the 'car' and use our feet for most everything we did. We
visited the Wild Animal Park and enjoyed it's closeness to Oceanside.
5) What about comfort? Were the beds comfortable? Did you enjoy the crisp, professionally laundered, cotton bedding? Did you have enough
pillows?
- The entire property has wonderful beds which is generally a concern when you are away from home for a week. The
bedding, extra bedding, pillows and towels were better than most hotels.
6) Traveling with children… Was the “kid-friendly” environment helpful? Is there anything more we can provide that would make it easier for
you to travel with children?
-We were in 'kid' heaven. Pac n play, strollers, toys, what more could you ask for and the beach too!!!
7) Beach gear… Did the beach accouterments – boogey boards, sand toys, beach cart, kites, beach towels, beach chairs, and portable cooler –
make your stay easier and more fun?
-Our grandchildren enjoyed the boogey boards at the beach and on the patio. They loved eating breakfast each
morning pretending they were at the beach riding the waves. It was definately an added bonus to have so much
beach gear readily available to us.
8) The owner/manager – was she friendly, courteous and responsive to your needs? When you inquired about the property did you receive a
prompt response? Were your questions answered? Did you find her easy to work with? Did the contract and payment process go smoothly?
Were there any unpleasant surprises?
- Our dealings with the property manager/owner were everything I expected from search to responses, to contract and
payment. The only surprise was how user friendly she was. She is definately customer oriented and wants you to
feel 'right at home'.
9) The website – was our website (www.wsl4rent.com) helpful in making your decision to choose to book with us? Did you find the other sites
(VRBO, HomeAway, A-1 Vacations, and VacationRentals) easy to use and helpful?
-The website worked well for us to compare other properties. We booked here mainly because of the property
manager/owner and the ability she gave us to view the property ahead of time. The pictures on the web site are good,
but the property is much better. We loved our stay.
